Total number of lift offs for Auckland police helicopter, and reasons for each liftoff in 2015
John Stone made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was refused by New Zealand Police.
From: John Stone
New Zealand Police
Dear New Zealand Police,
can I please know the total number of lift offs for Auckland police
helicopter in 2015, and the reason for each liftoff in 2015, and
also a date / timestamp for each lift off and the length of it.
The intention is to attempt to discover what proportion of liftoffs
occur for emergency responses versus planned lift offs, and also to
understand how often thermal cameras are used to try and discover
cannabis growing operations.
The outcome should allow a summary that shows the cost of
pre-emptive cannabis searches relative to overall usage of the
helicopter in Auckland.
Yours faithfully,
John Stone
