Advice on national policy statement on natural hazards

Dear Ministry for the Environment,

In Parliament's annual review of the Ministry, it mentions that "The ministry told us that it is considering a national policy statement on natural hazards, which is likely to include sea-level rise". I would like to request the following advice under the OIA:

* all formal advice on a national policy statement on natural hazards from the last year. This includes cabinet papers, briefings, and aid memoires, but excludes emails.

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about
this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the
fyi.org.nz website.

With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.

email of 15 February 2016  in which you have requested, under the Official
Information Act 1982,

 

All formal advice on a national policy statement on natural hazards from
the last year. This includes cabinet papers, briefings, and aid memoires,
but excludes emails.

 

The information you request relates most closely to the functions and
responsibilities of Hon Dr Nick Smith and I have therefore transferred
your request to his office in accordance with section 14 of the Official
Information Act 1982 (OIA).
