Advice on making New Zealand predator-free

Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Department of Conservation

The request was successful.

From: Alex Harris

Dear Department of Conservation,

Yesterday the government announced a plan to make New Zealand predator-free by 2050 ("New Zealand to be Predator Free by 2050", New Zealand Government, 25 July 2016). I would like to request the following information under the OIA:

* All advice (including briefing notes, reports, aide memoires and cabinet papers) on this policy. I am particularly interested in preliminary advice on the costs of this policy and assessments of whether the government's investment of resources is adequate to the task.

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.

With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ

Yours faithfully,

Alex Harris
