From: Alex Harris
Dear New Zealand Security Intelligence Service,
The NZSIS operates a phone hotline, 0800 SIS 224, and a "public contribution form" (https://providinginformation.nzsis.govt....) allowing members of the public to report information of security concern. I would like to request the following information under the Official Information Act:

* the number of those calls subsequently determined to be of security interest;
* the number of those calls determined to be frivolous or vexatious;
* the number of those calls determined to be wrong numbers;
* the number of submissions received through the public contribution form in 2015;
* the number of those submissions subsequently determined to be of security interest;
* the number of those submissions determined to be spam;
* the number of those submissions determined to be frivolous or vexatious.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris

New Zealand Security Intelligence Service
Dear Alex Harris
I refer to your request dated 15 January 2016.
The Official Information Act requires that we advise you of our decision on this request no later than 20 working days after the day we received it.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to 14 March 2016.
Consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
We anticipate that the consultation process will not take very long and that we will be able to respond very shortly and well before 14 March 2016.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
Yours sincerely
NZSIS
