Communications with Islamophobic anti-NZ Ambassador Jared Novelly

Ali Anwar made this Official Information request to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Ali Anwar to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Ali Anwar

Dear Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade,

I understand that Jared Novelly, best known for his role in funding extremist Islamophobes like Rabbi Nachum Shifren who have called to ban all mosques in the USA, and his role in illegally funneling campaign contributions through other family members to violate campaign law to extremists life Shifren ( https://www.fppc.ca.gov/siteassets/docum... ), has been appointed as the new US Ambassador to New Zealand.

I am interested in whether MFAT has had communications with Novelly about his pet issues.
1) Has Novelly communicated to date with MFAT or Minister Peters about his goal of banning Islam and Islamic places of worship in New Zealand?
2) Has Novelly communicated to date with MFAT or Minister Peters about his goal of destroying New Zealand's nuclear free policy and allowing American nuclear weapons to be based here for the American race war against Chinese people?

Yours faithfully,
Ali Anwar
