Dear Auckland Transport,

1. I would like to request the following information, either in full or in part if certain details cannot be released under LGOIMA exclusions:

This should include GPS coordinates, make, model, camera type (PTZ, bullet, dome etc.), signal transmission method (fibre, WiFi bridge, 4G/5G etc.), installation date, purchase price for each camera, and installation costs for each location.
3. A list of all in-use or planned cameras for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) owned or operated by The Group, including GPS coordinates, make, model, installation date, purchase price for each camera, and installation costs for each location.
4. If any cameras other than ANPR have surveillance configurations used to detect specific events in camera feeds, including but not limited to: motion detection, line crossing detection, intrusion detection, object entering/leaving a zone, face capture, human and/or vehicle detection. If so, please provide a list of cameras and their detection configurations enabled.

Kia ora Manuel,
We are looking into your request for information.
Regarding your request for “A list of reported instances of damage to CCTV
cameras owned by The Group, including date/time and nature of damage” –
please can you provide a timeframe for this?
As it is currently framed, this request would require substantial
collation and would impose an unreasonable demand on Auckland Transport’s
resources. Unless the request is refined, it is likely to be refused under
section 17(f) of the LGOIMA, which applies where the information cannot be
made available without substantial collation or research.
Would you like a list of reported instances of damage to CCTV cameras over
the past 3 or 6 months, for example?
If you could please get back to me by Wednesday 15^th April, it would be
much appreciated.
Ngâ mihi,
Katy (she/her) | LGOIMA Business Partner

Hi Katy,
I would like to request a timeframe of 1 year, if this is likely to be refused under section 17(f) of the LGOIMA, then 6 months would suffice.
I would also like to clarify on my request for the "nature of damage", please provide this in as much detail as possible (e.g. camera housing smashed by thrown object, cable cut, entire camera unit removed, water ingress due to damaged seal, etc.)
Yours sincerely,
Manuel Tout
