I am writing to formally request information held by the school relating to the review of Rūmaki Māori and Māori students over the last 5 years. This includes all information regarding the scope, purpose, methodology, findings, and governance consideration of the review, including the identity of the author(s), any individuals or organisations commissioned to prepare the report, and the relevant qualifications, expertise, and credentials of those involved in producing the review.

I also request all information relating to the resignation of the Head of Department Māori, including how this resignation relates to, or was informed by, the review.
This request is made in the interests of transparency and to support whānau understanding of matters that directly affect Māori students and the Rūmaki programme.

Thank you for your response and for the opportunity to clarify my request.
I confirm that I will refocus my original request on part (a) only. Any additional matters will be the subject of a separate OIA request, if required.

Accordingly, I am seeking the following information in relation to the School’s recent review of the Rūmaki programme:
- A copy of the full review report, and any associated documents including emails, undertaken by the School.
- The author(s) of the review, including the individual and/or organisation/company commissioned to undertake it.
- Information on the experience, skills, and expertise held by the author(s), particularly in relation to undertaking reviews grounded in a Te Ao Māori framework or strategy, including Ngā Ara Whakamua: the Māori Success Strategy.
- Information on how the review has been considered and implemented, including: a) Decisions made by the School and/or Board in response to the review. and, b) Any governance considerations or resolutions arising from the review.
