Police Callsign Information.
James M. made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was partially successful.
From: James M.
Dear New Zealand Police,
I would like to request the most current list of Police Radio callsigns.
If possible, I would like the list to include Callsign, location, and unit Descriptor. An example of this would be WLN1, Wellington, Senior Sergeant (Or appropriate).
I would also like updated versions of the following information:
(Similar to https://fyi.org.nz/request/8908/response...)
A list of current event type codes;
A list of current Incident codes;
A list of current result codes;
A list of current status codes;
A list of 2 digit station codes and associated station
A list of unit types and definitions i.e. I - 2-up PST vehicle.
Any policy documents relevant to implementation or use of the above information operationally.
Can you also advise the callsigns used by the Police ART (Armed Response Teams) during their use?
Ngaa mihi nui,
James.

Kia ora James
I apologise for the lateness of the response to your OIA. A response has been drafted and is proceeding through Police’s internal review and approval process. Unfortunately, I am unable to confirm a release date at this stage, but I can assure you we are endeavouring to get this to you as soon as practicable. You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this delay. Information about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.

You should definitely make a complaint to the Ombudsman requesting an investigation and review of this request James.
The original respones to your request was twenty-five working days after you made it which is in breach of the OIA as responses are supposed to be received within twenty working days.It is now twenty-one working days since Ministerial Services advised you that a response had been drafted and was proceeding through Police's internal review and approval process so their response is way overdue by twenty-six working days.
