I am making this request under s 14 of the Official Information Act 1982.
Is GNS aware of Apple's new Enhanced Safety Alerts, particularly bi-level earthquake alerts, which provides early earthquake warnings to iPhone users (https://support.apple.com/en-nz/102516)?
Are there any plans to work with Apple in order to bring the aforementioned feature (or any similar early earthquake warning system for iPhone users) to Aotearoa given the significant earthquake risk this country faces, similar to the Android Earthquake Alerts System that is presently available here?
