Intenational evidence and advice on economic benefits of pandas
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Prime Minister
The request was refused by Prime Minister.
From: Alex Harris
Dear Prime Minister,
Earlier this year it was reported that Prime Minister John Key said that the economic benefit to New Zealand of obtaining Pandas for a New Zealand Zoo would be "huge". Today, it was reported that John Key had said that he had based this claim on "international evidence and discussions with his agencies" (Felix Marwick, NewstalkZB). I would like to request the following information under the OIA:
* all the international evidence the Prime Minister referred to in his comment;
* all the advice, formal or informal, from government agencies the Prime Minister referred to in his comment.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
