Dear Prime Minister,
In tonight's leader's debate, when confronted with MSD data that 40% of children in poverty were from families where at least one parent worked, you denied that figure and said that only 11% of children in poverty were from such families. I would like to request the following information under the OIA:
* the source for your claim that only 11% of children in poverty were from families where at least one parent worked.
As there is an election on and this is a matter of public debate, I ask that this request be handled urgently.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
