My OIA relates to the Government's recent major events funding announcement: https://www.beehive.govt.nz/release/ampe...
Please provide:
- All briefings, aide memoires or other advice to Ministers relating to the establishment of the Major Events and Tourism Package
- All briefings, aide memoires or other advice relating to the first round of the Major Events and Tourism Package
- A list of events funded in the first round
- For each event funded to date, the amount of funding provided
- For each event funded to date, information on how the amount of funding provided relates to the amount of funding requested and the total estimated cost of the event
- For each event funded to date, any information or analysis that exists on the rationale (or lack thereof) for government investment
- Information regarding any applications for funding that were declined in the first round
- All correspondence between Ministry officials and representatives of Linkin Park, Six60, and Symphony relating to the major events funding

Information Act 1982, the following:
Please provide:
- All briefings, aide memoires or other advice to Ministers relating to
the establishment of the Major Events and Tourism Package
- All briefings, aide memoires or other advice relating to the first round
of the Major Events and Tourism Package
- A list of events funded in the first round
- For each event funded to date, the amount of funding provided
- For each event funded to date, information on how the amount of funding
provided relates to the amount of funding requested and the total
estimated cost of the event
- For each event funded to date, any information or analysis that exists
on the rationale (or lack thereof) for government investment

We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible, and no
later than 22/01/2026, being 20 working days after the day your request
was received. If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will
notify you of an extension of that timeframe. Please note that the days
from 25 December 2025 to 15 January 2026 (inclusive) are defined as
non-working days in the Act and are not counted in the calculation for the
response due date. This will affect the time period for responding to your
