Thank you for your request of 3 December 2025 made under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act).

 

To protect ongoing negotiations and to protect the privacy of affected
landowners, we are unable to provide specific addresses for properties
still to be acquired for this project. This is to ensure we can negotiate
effectively with landowners, while respecting their privacy in their
discussions with us. On that basis, we are withholding the requested
information under the following sections of the Act:

o 9(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of
deceased natural persons
o 9(2)(j) to enable NZTA to carry on, without prejudice or disadvantage,
negotiations (including commercial and industrial negotiations).

 

However, we are able to provide a list of streets where some property is
likely to be needed to be acquired, or where NZTA holds property titles.
This includes instances where NZTA is potentially looking to acquire land
either in full, in part, or underground (substrata). They are as follows:
