I am a resident of Ohui, Opotiki and uri of Te Whakatohea. I attended the Te Tarata 150th commemoration reception held on the 4th of October 2015 at the Waioweka Domain, Ohui, at which the Minister was an advertised speaker. At that gathering the Minister addressed the assembly and made the statement that he had met earlier that day with Iwi of the Eastern Bay of Plenty for the purpose of discussing Treaty of Waitangi settlements.
I request the following information from the Minister:
1. The names and positions of all those present at the above meeting.
2. Correspondence from and to the Minister and his staff in relation to the above meeting.
3. Documents made by or held by the Minister and his staff in relation to the above meeting including any minutes taken, advice given to the Minister, and emails prior to or subsequent to the above meeting.
