john luke made this Official Information request to Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children
The request was successful.
From: john luke
Dear Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children,
I noted,
https://www.xn--tepkenga-szb.ac.nz/news/...
Fale (Andrew) Lesa
Fale is an international policy consultant and an experienced director. He was elected to the Manukau City Council in 2009 and spent the last ten years as vice chair at Manurewa High School where he piloted the trades academy scheme.
He is a proud member of the Auckland Conservation Board and the Child & Youth Mortality Review Committee. He is currently leading a nationwide review for the Ministry of Health and is a senior advisor to Oranga Tamariki. Fale was recently appointed to Philanthropy New Zealand after managing a child poverty initiative with the J R McKenzie Trust.
Could you please confirm whether he has ever held the title of Senior Advisor to Oranga Tamariki? If not, I would appreciate clarification on the nature of his relationship with the agency.
I would also like to request a copy of your internal policies or procedures for addressing instances of misrepresentation. For example, do you issue warning letters in such cases? Are you open to receiving public complaints regarding misrepresentation?
If so, please advise on the appropriate process, as I would like to lodge a formal complaint should it be confirmed that he has misrepresented himself.
Yours faithfully,
john luke
