Dear KiwiRail,

Under the Official Information Act 1982, I request the following information relating to the "rail max reuse" option chosen for the Cook Strait ferry replacement project, with particular focus on Wellington infrastructure:

Any diagrams, design drawings, or engineering schematics that show how the "rail max reuse" option will be implemented at Wellington, including the proposed new linkspan, wharf extension, and integration with existing yards and terminal areas.

Any descriptions, presentations, or planning documents that outline how existing Wellington facilities will be reused or modified under the rail-max reuse approach.

Briefing notes, reports, or summaries provided to Ministers or senior officials since 1 January 2024 that specifically discuss Wellington infrastructure works under the rail max reuse option.

Any information post 5 March 2025 on the reuse options will be held by Ferry Holdings and not KiwiRail as it has taken over the ferry replacement project.
