Covid vaccine and infection data
Kiedus Cracknell made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Kiedus Cracknell to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Kiedus Cracknell
Dear Ministry of Health,
I'm writing to request information on deaths following Pfizer covid vaccine administration, and covid infections in different population groups (regarding vaccination status). The time period should be from when data on covid vaccine safety began to be collected in NZ until whenever is practically possible without breaching privacy of individuals due to low amounts of data.
Specifically I want to request information on deaths following Pfizer covid administration, for each calendar year, as a percentage of the total vaccinated population, divided by these sub groups:
- Those with a previous unidentified health condition, exacerbated by the vaccine
- Those whose death could not be linked to the covid vaccine
- Those whose death was caused directly by an allergic reaction to the vaccine
- Those whose death was caused directly by other AEFI (eg. severe myocarditis), with no other identified major risk factor (such as a pre-existing health condition)
For covid infections in this time period, for each calendar year, I would ask the data be provided in the form:
First:
Covid infections, as raw data, divided by vaccination status (unvaccinated, partial, full, boosted)
Second:
Covid infections, divided by two groups:
- Vaccinated individuals (any level of vaccination) as a percentage of total vaccinated population
- Unvaccinated individuals as a percentage of total unvaccinated population
And thirdly,
- Vaccinated infections as a percentage of the total infections
- Unvaccinated infections as a percentage of total infections
Yours faithfully,
K
