Attendance records of Governing Body 2022-2025

Damian Light made this Official Information request to Auckland Council

Currently waiting for a response from Auckland Council, they must respond promptly and normally no later than (details and exceptions).

From: Damian Light

Dear Auckland Council,

I note that Auckland Council publishes some of the attendance information on their website: https://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/abou...

Attendance by local board members is provided for the entire 2022-2025 electoral term, but only the last three months are available for the Governing Body at any given time.

Under "Governing Body and committee attendance records" the page states "We publish these attendance records monthly, with three months’ worth of records being shown at any one time."

I've attempted to look back at previous versions of this page but there appears to be gaps in the data for the Governing Body (particularly during 2023).

I am therefore (under LGOIMA) requesting:

1) an explanation as to why Auckland Council reports the attendance for Governing Body differently than Local Boards, with Local Boards having all information displayed at all times? What is the justification for publishing this information differently?

2) the full attendance records for all members of the Governing Body (by quarter) for the entire 2022-2025 electoral term. I would prefer this in a spreadsheet if possible, or a table format like the local board information.

3) confirmation if there was there a lapse or gap in publishing this information at any time during 2022-2025 term? And if so, why and for how long?

Yours faithfully,

Damian Light
