Dear Department of Internal Affairs,
Under the Official Information Act 1982, I am requesting information about the Department of Internal Affairs’ role or involvement in addressing methamphetamine-related harm in Te Tai Tokerau/Northland.
Specifically, I request:
- Any documents, reports, or internal correspondence from 1 January 2022 to present that discuss DIA’s involvement in methamphetamine-related harm reduction, local government coordination, or community wellbeing initiatives in Northland.
- Details of any community funding, grants, or support provided by DIA to iwi, hapū, or community organisations in Northland that relate to drug harm reduction, social cohesion, or methamphetamine-specific projects.
- Any inter-agency coordination or support provided by DIA to local authorities (e.g. Far North District Council) in response to methamphetamine-related social harm in the region.
