Matt Tagg made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Matt Tagg to read recent responses and update the status.
      From: Matt Tagg

    Dear Auckland Transport,
For the following project: Mays Road and Grey Street, Onehunga – Intersection Safety Improvements.
I would like to know:
1. What month/year you will be beginning construction?
2. Why the proposed raised zebra crossings in the original proposed design were removed?
3. Was there any cost benefit analysis done in making the decision to remove the raised zebra crossings from the final design? If so, can you please share this with me.
4. Was the increased risk to pedestrian's from removing the raised zebra crossings taken into account?
5. Why this project has been so delayed when it was originally consulted on in 2022 and proposed to start construction in 2023?
Yours faithfully,
Matthew Tagg
