I refer to your request of February 13, 2025, under the Local Government
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) for all information
around the abatement notice issued to Whangarei Pistol Club.

 

The LGOIMA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that deadline.  We are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our
decision, to Friday March 28, 2025.

 

This extension is necessary under LGOIMA section 14 (1) (b) because
consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response to the request cannot reasonably made within the original
time limit.

 

While the new deadline is extended to Monday 7 October 2024, we apologize
for any inconvenience this may cause.  We are processing your request and
will respond as soon as possible.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
