Kia ora Environment Canterbury,
For the 2022 Environment Canterbury Triennial Elections, in the nominations presented on your website it stated as at 5:02pm on 12 August 2022, the following details for the candidate Lindon Boyce:
"Boyce (Boycey), Lindon (Phil Mauger Endorsed - Independent)"
This was for the Christchurch Central/Ōhoko Regional Constituency and was nominated by Stephen Moore and Nicole Moore.
This is a screenshot of what was published on your website:
https://flic.kr/p/2qKm86t
At the time I questioned via email the endorsement of Lindon Boyce by Phil Mauger, however I did not receive a response that satisfactorily explained how it came to be.
Request:
Can you please provide a copy of all the source documents you received that led to the publishing of the statement:
"Boyce (Boycey), Lindon (Phil Mauger Endorsed - Independent)"
Ngā mihi

Dear Allan
Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987: Request for
information
I refer to your request dated 07/02/2025 requesting copies of all the
source documents that Environment Canterbury received that led to
publishing the statement: "Boyce (Boycey), Lindon (Phil Mauger Endorsed -
Independent)".
Environment Canterbury has decided to extend the date of reply for this
requested information under section 14 of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987.
This request will now be responded to on the 02/04/2025 instead of the
originally stated 07/03/2025. The reason for this extension is the request
requires an extensive search on our e-discovery platform and meeting the
original time limit would unreasonably interfere with Environment
Canterbury’s operations.
You will be aware that if you are not satisfied with this extension, you
are able to refer this matter to the Office of the Ombudsman under s27 (3)
of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
Should you require any further information or clarification, please do not
hesitate to contact [1][ECAN request email].
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we
will try our absolute best to get you a response as soon as we possibly
can.
Yours sincerely,
Environment Canterbury’s LGOIMA Team
