Kia ora Erika,

I refer to your complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman regarding COVID
Science Updates

Please note, the Ministry does not get notified when a requester comments
on an FYI thread and was therefore unaware of your follow up queries.
Should you have any questions regarding an FYI request, please email the
Ministry directly, or email through the fyi tool.

Your question asked for COVID Science Updates – which were included in the
response in their entirety for the timeframe requested. The COVID Science
Updates were a series of regular updates. However, the "COVID-19 Science
and Insights COVID-19 Delta variant secondary attack rates August-October
2021" document attached, which is referenced, was an ad-hoc piece of work
and not part of a regular series of updates. Therefore, this document was
considered out of scope of the request.

If you wish to discuss any aspect of your request with us, please feel
free to contact the OIA Services Team on: [1][email address].

Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to
review any decisions made under this request. The Ombudsman may be
contacted by email at: [2][email address] or by calling 0800
802 602.
