Urban on Manners ARLA / Alcohol Licensing
Miss W. Forest made this Official Information request to Ministry of Justice
The request was refused by Ministry of Justice.
From: Miss W. Forest
Dear Ministry of Justice,
Background
MoJ I believe includes The Alcohol and Regulatory Licensing Authority, also known as ARLA, is an independent Tribunal established by the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
My request is relating to a business and it's directors that has had renewal rejected before
https://www.ashburtondc.govt.nz/__data/a...
Note that the business registered name is same but the trading as has changed but has not been reflected to business register as should have been where the registered business now trades as Urban on Manners at Wellington as evidenced:
https://wellington.govt.nz/have-your-say...
There is discrepancy between Wellington Council and ARLA records pertaining to licensed premises and the usual decision documents seem to be missing so here we are.
Currently the national register maintained by the ministry of justice does not seem to have any entry for these licensed premises whilst some version of excel spreadsheet in WCC website lists some date for the business as holding on premises license identified as 49C/ON/235/2021.
OIA Request
Please provide the ARLA related documentation:
1) The original application by the applicant, The Lakehouse Restaurant Limited and / or their proprietors / directors relating to the Urban on Manners restaurant the business seems to be trading as but not correctly registered as such.
2) Objections that the application or renewal/s received seen by ARLA.
3) The determination and / or decision that ARLA made - none of these seem to be available via the usual route.
For the avoidance of doubt please include the documentation relating to 1), 2) and 3) on both the original application and the renewal/s where ARLA has been involved.
Yours faithfully,
Miss W. Forest
