Thank you for contacting the office of Hon Nicole McKee, Minister of
Courts, Associate Minister of Justice (Firearms).
The Minister considers all correspondence important and appreciates you
taking the time to write. Please note that as Minister McKee receives a
large amount of correspondence it is not always possible to personally
reply to all emails.
The following guidelines apply:
* Portfolio related correspondence will be considered and responded to
where appropriate
* If your message is for Minister McKee’s advice, or if you have copied
your email to another Minister and/or Member of Parliament with more
appropriate portfolio responsibilities, then this will be noted
* Invitations and requests to meet with the Minister will be processed as
soon as possible and a staff member will be in contact with you in due
course. Please note this email is an acknowledgment that your
invitation/request has been received.
* If you have made a request for official information then this will be
managed in accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act
1982, which may include transfer to a more relevant Minister or agency
* If your email falls outside of the Minister’s portfolio
responsibilities, expresses a personal view, or is copied to multiple
Members of Parliament, then your opinion will be noted and your
correspondence may be transferred to another office, or there may be no
further response to you
* Media queries will be referred to the Minister’s press secretary
Again, thank you for writing.

Kia ora,
We are seeking clarification of your request to provide you with the information you are seeking.
Your request, for 'all communications, including written correspondence and all types of electronic communications (such as emails, messages, and any other digital formats' involves a broad volume of information. It includes a significant amount of 'housekeeping' and administrative correspondence which would require extensive processing, which will unduly impact our other operations.
It is likely that your original request would need to be clarified or amended to enable us to respond. We suggest your request could be refined to only capture substantive information, feedback, and advice and exclude administrative correspondence.
Additionally, could you please advise if there is a specific timeframe between which you want this information from.
Please let us know before 4 September 2024 whether you are prepared to amend or clarify your request and, if so, how. If you are unable to refine the request, then we may refuse under section 18(f) of the OIA, as this would require substantial collation and research.
Please note, any clarification or amendment of a request will be considered as a new request for the purpose of calculating the maximum statutory timeframe for response under section 15(1AA) of the Official Information Act.
Kind Regards
Office of Hon Nicole McKee
Minister of Courts | Associate Minister of Justice

Hello,
Thanks for your message. My request covers the period between now and when the Minister was sworn in.
My request is only for messages between the Minister, her staffers and a single organisation so I reckon it should be straightforward to collate.
Thanks.
Phil
