Hashed advertising lists: Privacy Impact Statment + related documents
Kitty made this Official Information request to Inland Revenue Department
The request was partially successful.
From: Kitty
Dear Inland Revenue Department,
Today it came to light that IRD generates custom audience lists which are used to upload hashed data for the purpose of targeting ads on social media platforms.
It has been stated that IRD's privacy officer completes a privacy impact assessment before uploading the data. Please provide any and all such privacy impact assessments in full. Please also provide any other related documents which concern the risks and benefits of this practice to all relevant parties, and in particular those which were used to inform the decision to implement said practice.
Yours faithfully,
Kitty
