Accidents at new Bus Interchange

Blake Bedford-Palmer made this Official Information request to Canterbury Regional Council

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Canterbury Regional Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Blake Bedford-Palmer

Dear Canterbury Regional Council,

Could I please have the following information

1) How many accidents have there been at the new interchange?

2) What was the cause of them, shouldn't've the wide lanes, cameras and electronic systems prevented these?

3) What is being done to prevent these happening in the future?

Yours faithfully,
Blake Bedford-Palmer

Subject: My OIA request about bus interchange incidents

To Whom it may concern
It is disappointing to see The Press have taken my OIA request and blown
it out of proportion and have been very ignorant about the facts.

I was impressed with your response to my request, it doesn't seem that bad
at all

They say drivers back blindly, they don't acknowledge that there are
cameras and alot of other stuff.
I suggest ECan make a video for the public,  Showing what it's like from a
drivers perspective, and demonstrate all of the safety systems in place to
bust all the misinformation out there.
Thanks
