Request for Information on Grade Distribution and Failure Rates for Master of Information Technology Program

Masterten made this Official Information request to University of Auckland

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Masterten to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Masterten

Dear University of Auckland,

Under the Official Information Act 1982, I am writing to request information regarding the Master of Information Technology (MIT) program. Specifically, I am seeking the following details:

Grade Distribution: Could you please provide the grade distribution for all courses within the Master of Information Technology program for the past three academic years? I am interested in knowing the percentage of students who received each grade (e.g., A+, A, A-, B+, etc.).

Failure Rates: Could you also provide the failure rates for each course within the Master of Information Technology program over the same period? This would include the percentage of students who failed or did not pass each course.

If possible, I would appreciate the data being broken down by year and course. I understand that personal information will not be disclosed, and I am only seeking aggregated data for academic and research purposes.

Please let me know if there are any fees associated with this request before processing it.

Thank you for your assistance with this matter. I look forward to your response.

Yours sincerely

Dear Masterten,

I refer to your request of 20 August 2024. As consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a response cannot reasonably be given within the original time limit, the University has extended the time limit for your request under section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA. The new maximum time limit for the University’s response is 24 September 2024; we will respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable. You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with this extension.
