Mr Riley
I refer to your email of 13 August and am obtaining the information
covered by your request from our IT records.
From what I can see at present, it will involve third parties and I will
need to consult with those third parties to see if there are any matters
of concern. Obviously, any decision is a matter for Council to make but
it is considered appropriate that the third parties involved have the
opportunity to comment.
It means the 20 working day deadline under LGOIMA, which would otherwise
end on 10 September 2024, might not be enough time for the consultation
and at that point assessment by us.
We therefore extend the time period to Thursday 26 September 2024.
Please note you have the right to seek review of our extension by
reference to the Office of the Ombudsman. The office that deals with this
Council is based in Wellington. You could action a complaint online, by
emailing [1][email address] or by post to the Office of the
Ombudsman, PO Box 10152, Wellington 6143.
