    Dear Auckland Transport,
As reported on your website on 10 July 2024, I would like to know the individual cost for each of the following gifted names in respect of the Eastern Busway i.e. exactly how much money did AT have to pay the 'gifters' (Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki and Ngaati Whanaunga) for each of these names, whether in direct payment or 'koha' or any other form of payment -
Names gifted to stations:
Pakūranga
Te Taha Wai
Koata
Pōhatu
Names gifted to structures:
Rā Hihi
Tī Rākau
Taupaepae

Auckland Transport (AT) acknowledges receipt of your request for official
 information dated 11^th of July 2024 in relation to the cost of gifted te
 reo Māori names by mana whenua for the new bus stations and structures
 being built for the Eastern Busway.

 8^th of August 2024, which is 20 working days after the day your request
 was received. If we aren’t able to respond to your request by then, we
 will notify you of an extension of that timeframe.

We are unable to provide you with the information you asked for
On 11/07/2024 you asked for the cost of gifted te reo Māori names by mana
 whenua for the new bus stations and structures being built for the Eastern
 Busway. 
 
Auckland Transport (AT) has not made any payment for the gifting of names
 on Eastern Busway. Your request is therefore declined under section 17 (e)
 of the LGOIMA as the information does not exist.
 
We understand that this isn’t the outcome you hoped for.
