ANPR Surveillance - Audits of Auckland Transport's database + search warrant clarification
M B made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport
The request was successful.
      From: M B

    Dear Auckland Transport,
AUDITS:
- How many Audits have been carried out on the use of the ANPR database?
- Please provide a brief description of each Audit including the processes were carried out and the results. For the avoidance of doubt, results include queries identified to be misuse, unexplainable, or requiring further investigation.
SEARCH WARRANT CLARIFICATION
Police access to the ANPR database is suggested to be granted "either pursuant to [a search] warrant or under the LGOIMA." (https://fyi.org.nz/request/20718/respons...).
Please provide:
- the number of search warrants or production orders received for access to the ANPR database (It is understood from external parties that this number is zero).
- the number of requests received since the start of the database (01/06/2018) categorised by the authority cited for the request (presumably all LGOIMA) and the requesting party: Police / NZSIS / Private entities. (Effectively an update on CAS 677069 https://fyi.org.nz/request/20718/respons...).
Yours faithfully,
Mason.
