I refer to your official information request dated 3 July 2024 regarding ANPR data requests. 
 
Audits of ANPR data 
There have been 0 audits carried out on ANPR data. 
Your request for a description of each audit is declined under s 17(e) of the LGOIMA as the requested 
information does not exist as there has been 0 audits. 
 
Search warrants for ANPR data 
There have been 0 search warrants received for ANPR data. 
 
Since 2 February 2020, we have received 42 requests for ANPR data. 32 were from NZ Police and the 
remainder from private entities. Unfortunately, we have no record of requests received prior to 2 February 
2020, therefore this part of your request is declined under s 17(e) of the LGOIMA as the requested 
information does not exist. 
 
We trust this clarifies your request, but should you believe that we have not dealt with your request 
appropriately, you are able to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman in accordance with section 
27(3) of the LGOIMA Act and seek an investigation and review in regard to this matter.
