under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.

Thank you for your request for information related to Cameras and
Commercial Relationships.
Auckland Council has two number plate recognition capability, one at
Auckland House and one at Albany Hub.
Both only read vehicles wanting to enter the basements of both locations
and allow only the registrations of vehicles authorised to enter.
These two cameras are owned by Auckland council
We have no other registration plate recognition cameras operating in
public areas.
Auckland Council does not provide data, images, or footage to Auror
Limited, Datacom Group Ltd, vGRID, SaferCities, or Safe City Group
Limited.
We do not supply data or any other information to Auror or Datacom nor do
we have any commercial relationship with them or Safe City Group.
I can advise that in accordance with section 12 of the Local Government
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) we have transferred
the remainder of your request to Auckland Transport to respond directly.
