I refer to your official information request dated 10 June 2024 requesting
information in relation to reports and contracts between Sport Whanganui
for running of pool facilities.

 

The information you have requested is as follows.

 

o Please provide documents in relation to the management of the council
pool facilities by Sport Whanganui up to 2021 for the last 5 years:

 

1)       contracts or agreements between WDC and Sport Whanganui to run
the facilities

 

Please see attached contract between WDC and Community Recreational
Services Trust trading as Sport Whanganui.

 

2)      reports to council from Sport Whanganui regarding management of
the facilities per their contract (these are impossible to search on the
website as a member of the public without knowing the meeting dates and
committee)

3)      any emails where Sport Whanganui or WDC talked about maintenance
requirements for Whanganui East pool

 

Whanganui District Council’s IT department have undertaken a preliminary
search of staff emails for the past 5 years that includes the term
‘Whanganui East Pool’ and ‘maintenance’. We are asking that you refine
your request as the volume of emails is such that we would likely decline
the request pursuant to Section 17(f) of the LGOIMA where information
requested cannot be made available without substantial collation or
research. For example, you could refine your request by shortening the
time frame.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
