I would like a statement or summary on the income and expenditure for the Bastia Hill tower and reserve on a 12 month basis for the last 3 years. The 12 month basis can be determined by council to what is easiest to report on i.e. financial year.

Costs should include where possible:

Operating costs including maintenance and repair costs (such as electricity usage, landscaping, entry to the tower, water equipment or electrical repairs such as lighting)
Capital expenditure (if any)
Income/revenue received (if applicable, such as use agreements of the tower for telecommunications equipment)

I refer to your official information request dated 10 July 2023 requesting
information relating to Bastia Hill Water Tower and Bastia Hill Reserve.

 

The information you have requested is as follows.

 

* I would like a statement or summary on the income and expenditure for
the Bastia Hill tower and reserve on a 12 month basis for the last 3
years. The 12 month basis can be determined by council to what is easiest

The following table outlines the financials for the Bastia Hill Water
Tower and the area of land surrounding the tower zoned as Water Tower
Reserve for the past three financial years (i.e. July – June). The income
is from leases with various entities mostly for telecommunications.

 

The only cost not included in the table below is the Lawn Mowing costs
which fall under the 1840 Vegetation Contract. The current contract period
runs from the 01.11.2022 to 31.10.2024 and the costs associated to this
reserve are $167.97 per month. This reserve became a ‘Low-Mow’ site in
2021. If you require the Lawn mowing costs for this area prior to this
current contract please let me know.
