Dear Far North District Council,
In relation to the consultation documents regarding sewerage in Kerkeri on page 26 there is an inference of septic tank failure being a source of waterway pollution.
I would like your records on the following
1) number of reported septic tank failures since 2010,
2) levels of nitrogen wastes in the Kerikeri inlet that can be attributed to these failures as opposed to nitrogen from agricultural & horticultural run off
3) any other evidence that the pollution can be attributed to septic tank failures
