Alex Olsen made this Official Information request to Ministry of Housing and Urban Development

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Alex Olsen to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Alex Olsen

Dear Ministry of Housing and Urban Development,

I would like to request the following information under the Official Information Act:

1. What is the budget for all costs associated with the Sir Bill English review of Kāinga Ora?

2. How many ministry staff are working on the review and how many are working on the review full time?

3. How much has already been spent on the review?

4. How much will Sir Bill English and each of the other two reviewers be paid for their work and how will their pay be calculated, e.g. flat fee, hourly rate, expenses. If an hourly rate is being paid, how much will each reviewer be paid per hour?

5. On what date does the Ministry expect to proactively release all cabinet papers and advice on the Sir Bill English review of Kāinga Ora?

If you decide not to release any of this information, why does the Ministry believe there is no public interest in its release?

Yours faithfully,

Alex Olsen

On 20 May 2024, the Ministry published a range of documents relating to
the independent review into Kâinga Ora – Homes and Communities.

The Office of the Ombudsman has recommended that we detail which documents
relate to which parts of your requests.

You requested the budget of all costs associated with the review. The
maximum budget is recommendation 10 in the Kâinga Ora – Homes and
Communities Independent Review Cabinet paper (page 7):

You asked how much the reviewers would be paid and how it would be
calculated. Each reviewer was paid per day. Their per day and the total
paid to them is available:

You also asked for a list of meetings Sir Bill English had with
stakeholders. A list of all stakeholders the panel met with is available:
