UK Recruitment Campaign
Adam Irish made this Official Information request to The Treasury
The request was successful.
From: Adam Irish
Dear The Treasury,
I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act. Given the current rise in unemployment rates, the proposed 6.5 to 7 percent public sector cuts, and concerns surrounding the accredited employer scheme utilised by the Treasury last year, along with the apparent oversights or neglect by INZ in managing job check information, I am seeking clarification on if The Treasury is planning another UK recruitment campaign this year.
If such a campaign is planned, could you please provide details on the allocated budget for this recruitment drive? Additionally, I would like to understand how The Treasury justifies the assertion that New Zealanders are unsuitable for these positions. Historically, many Kiwis have applied, and a significant number have progressed to the interview stage. Are there excessive hurdles imposed by The Treasury that differ from standard market expectations for other employers?
I appreciate your prompt attention to these inquiries.
Yours sincerely,
Adam
