Who is Michael Fogarty at ACC

Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,

An ACC client saw in there injury claim file a recent note indicating all communicatiosn with the client must go thru Mr Fogarty. The client has a recovery partner and has never dealt with or heard of a Mr Fogarty. From inquiries made the client it is unclear whether Mr Fogarty is an employee or had been an employee, or why was he involved in the clients case.
I ask you to confirm, since June 2022 has ACC employed or contracted the services of a Michael Fogarty and if so what role was he employed in or the scope of works he was contracted to do.

Thank you Sara,

Please provide further clarification, as I understand Mr Fogarty is a Recovery Partner, this role was originally a case manager,. now a Recovery Partner, the role is to work together with a client including achieving the rehabilitation goals.

I would like to understand why Mr Fogarty is a “Recovery Partner”, however he is not allocated any claims to manage, so he is not a partner with any clients.

So what is Mr Fogarty’s role within this business unit?
