follows.

 

“I would like the university to send a spreadsheet of all the University
of Auckland International School Leaver Scholarship given to school
leavers in the past five years ( 2018 - 2022). Specifically, I am seeking
the following information:

[1] The total number of applicants for the scholarship each year.
[2] The number of successful applicants each year.
[3] The number of unsuccessful applicants each year.”

 

The information requested in parts 1-3 of your request provided in the
attached spreadsheet.

 

“[4] The median value of the scholarship per successful applicant.”

 

The value of the University of Auckland International School Leaver
Scholarship is the student’s international tuition fees for the first
semester up to a specified amount. For 2018 and 2019, this amount was set
at $5000. From 2020-2022, this amount was set at $20,000.

[5] The median rank score of successful applicants each year.
[6] The median rank score of unsuccessful applicants each year.”

 

These statistics are not held by the University, and the OIA does not
require us to create these in response to your request. These parts of
your request are refused under section 18(g) of the OIA.

 

You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
dissatisfied with the University’s response.
