From: Adam Parkinson

Dear Auckland Council,

Kia ora,

I would like to have a copy of any Operations, Conservation and/or management Plans for the Albert Park Caretaker's Cottage in Albert Park.

I am trying to understand how the requirements of the whole of Albert park, contained within its Management Plan 1997, and Conservation Plan 1997 are referenced, and supported, and followed through with, for this facility, in particular for any parking arrangements for the Caretaker's Cottage.

Yours faithfully,

Adam Parkinson

Kia ora Adam,

The Albert Park Conservation Plan 1997 can be found [1]here and the Albert
Park Management plan 1997 can be found [2]here.

At a meeting on Monday 6^th November Council officers addressed any
parking issues at the Albert Park Caretaker's Cottage. Albert Park,
including the Cottage (which is now tenanted) is maintained by Ventia, the
full facility contractor. Ventia have moved their operations to a nearby
street therefore the only contractor vehicles that should be present at
the Park (and Cottage) are vehicles conducting maintenance. Parking in
front of the cottage is restricted to cottage business only and parking at
the rear is gated, limiting wider access.

Dear CF LGOIMA and Complaints,

I requested a copy of any Operations, Conservation and/or
management Plans for the Albert Park CARETAKERS COTTAGE in Albert Park.
For the cottage NOT for Albert Park.
I already have the docs you have provided.

I you are referring to the CCRG meeting on 6 Novemnerber, then your info is incorrect.
I chaired that meeting.

None of the operational council officers attended -preferring to cnacel at the last minute.
Out of the 4 or 5 Council officers we had spent 4 or so months organsiing and planning for - One Strategy and Policy officer attended for which we were grateful.
She did a good job but so many of the questiosn were operational.

That officer was able to advise on the Ventia changes, but nothing else- as the Park operations are not her role. And most of the other council officers cancelled at short notice, and failed to provide even any written responses.

Since you have mentioned it please provide the policy or management plan that states 'Parking in
front of the cottage is restricted to cottage business only and parking at
the rear is gated' (This iswhat I expect to see in the requested COTTAGE ops/mgmt plans).

Yours sincerely,

Adam Parkinson
