Procurement process of new food scrap bins

Jackson Fowler made this Official Information request to Auckland Council

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Jackson Fowler to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Jackson Fowler

Dear Auckland Council,

I write in request of information regarding the new food scrap collection bins.

I request the following information:

Did Auckland Council consider local procurement of the bins, rather than importing them from Australia, and if not, why not?

How much did each bin cost?

Is the intellectual property of the bin a proprietary product owned by Auckland Council?

Does the Auckland Council own any tooling to produce the bins?

How many further bins does the Auckland Council expect to purchase within the next twelve months?

Yours faithfully,
Jackson Fowler.
