Opioid induced Hyperalgesia.

Shane Le Brun made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

The request was successful.

From: Shane Le Brun

Dear Ministry of Health,

OIA request, statistics.

I would like to know if the ministry of health keeps record of the occurrence of Opioid induced Hyperalgesia, (OIH) a common side effect of long term use of Opiods in the management of Chronic Pain.

If the MOH does keep record of this complication, can I have an annual breakdown for the last 5 years of how many occurrences per year, and a tally of which Opiates were responsible for OIH?

Yours faithfully,

Shane Le Brun
