Canterbury recruitment
Bailey Thorpe made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Bailey Thorpe to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Bailey Thorpe
Dear New Zealand Police,
How many people are currently in the process of recruitment by each step in the application process.
What is the average wait time from initial application to being selected for a wing for applicants who are successful in a Canterbury placement?
What is the average age of a police college graduate?
Yours faithfully,
Bailey Thorpe.

Kia ora Bailey,
I hope you are doing well.
I am compiling the response to your information request, reference
IR-01-23-30078 regarding Police’s Recruitment.
To best answer your request I am hoping to clarify two points:
1. For your first question, “How many people are currently in the process
of recruitment by each step in the application process”, was this
across all roles currently being recruited by NZ Police? Or only for
the recruitment of Police recruits?
2. For your second and third questions, for what timeframe would you like
this data?
Please let me know if you have any questions or if easier we can schedule
a time to discuss over the phone.
Ngâ mihi,
