Kia ora Craig

We refer to your official information request of 15 August 2023, for :
“…any GIS data relating to the identification of Significant Natural Areas (SNAs) under s.6c of the Resource Management Act 1991 that has been prepared or worked on since November 2018”

The November 2018 data was developed for the purpose of identifying SNAs in the Lower Hutt District Plan as part of Council’s Ecology and Landscapes Project in 2017/2018. This is still the
most recent dataset that has been developed for the purpose of reviewing the District Plan. A copy of this GIS data for it is attached.

No work has been undertaken since November 2018 on the identification of potential SNAs as part of the District Plan Review. Accordingly, your request for information since November 2018
is refused under section 17(g) of the LGOIMA, as we do not hold any information on that and we have no reason to believe that the information is held by another agency.

We advise that this response to your information request, including your name, may be published on Hutt City Council’s website.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this response. Information about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or
freephone 0800 802 602.
