Dear Susan, Information Management Team,
That is the point of my request. I do not know the subject of the briefings and I want to know. I have found that the subject of briefings given earlier was only made public after the briefing occurred. This denied the public the opportunity to attend briefings on subjects that they were interested in.
I want the internal communications relating to the planning of the briefings and drafts of any presentations.
Yours sincerely,
Craig Innes

Thanks for your comments Craig.
If these briefings went to a Council meeting, the documentation should be available on the meeting documentation, which is available on our website.
How do you know the briefings subjects were made public after the briefings? Where were the subjects released?
Kind regards, Susan

The subject of the 24 May briefing is not available on infocouncil: https://www.huttcity.govt.nz/council/cou...
The subject of the 10 May briefing was not available before, but now it is. My information request also requested the documents associated with the briefings, which have not been sent.

Thank you for clarifying your request, Craig.
The briefing(s) of 24 May have not been confirmed yet. As soon as we have confirmation, the briefing titles will be added to the Council calendar on our website.
The calendar entry for the briefings of 10 May was updated as soon as soon as we had confirmation of the titles.
The briefing of 26 April has been cancelled. This status will be updated on the Council calendar shortly.
The briefing dates were approved by Council at its meeting held on 20 December 2022. We advise that there are no documents associated with these briefings yet - the presentation and notes from briefings are published after the briefings are held. Accordingly, the provisions of section 17(g) of the LGOIMA apply.
As an aside, briefings are not meetings and cannot be used to either make decisions or come to agreements that are then confirmed without the opportunity for meaningful debate at a formal meeting. Standing Orders do not apply to briefings.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this response. Information about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
Please note that this letter may be published on the Council’s website.
Kind regards, Susan
