Thank you for your email requesting “Who is the person/individual that
handed Mr Cameron Slater, or better known as 'Whale Oil' the un-redacted
spreadsheet with the 6900 names of ACC claimants on it sometime during
2012”.

I do not know whether the information you are seeking is held within this
Office, but even if it were, it could not be provided to you.  This is
because the Ombudsmen and their staff are required to maintain secrecy in
respect of all information that comes to their knowledge in the exercise
of their functions under the Ombudsmen or Official Information Acts (see
section 21 of the Ombudsmen Act).

If you wish to obtain this information, you will need to request it from
an agency subject to the Official Information Act, such as ACC. If you are
dissatisfied with ACC's decision on your request you can complain to the
Ombudsman.
