Dear Auckland Council,

Enfield apartment is located at 1 Enfield Street Mt Eden and is newly completed in December 2022 with 40 apartments. From December 2022, Enfield Apartment residents are using private rubbish collection and have never received council rubbish bins.

At 1 August 2023, the owners of Enfield apartments received their first rate bill. The first rate bill includes full waster management charge. For more than 7 months until now Auckland council has never provided rubbish bins or rubbish collection service to Enfield apartments. Enfield apartment is paying private rubbish collection fee. And suddenly it is placing a full charge of rubbish collection fees around $16,000 in total to Enfield apartments. We believe it is a mistake and the rubbish collection fees should be removed from the council rates.
