Dear Paltridge, Antony,
Im sure the court environment is considered a public place so I do not see why the privacy act should be of any hindrance to as why the footage should not be accessed by the public? This could help solve a crime! If your going to film people with out them knowing i would again think they have the right to view it on a public platform..?
Yours sincerely,
Christopher

Hi Christopher
Thanks for your email. To clarify, as the response notes, if you want to view the footage you can make an appointment at the Wellington District Court to see it and you can bring a support person with you. I might also note there is signage in courts saying that there are security cameras in the public areas. Finally, if you believe a crime has been committed you should contact the police.
Cheers
Antony
