What criteria constitute a child's best interests and welfare and how these criteria should be applied ?

Zane Collins made this Official Information request to Ministry of Justice

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Justice should have responded by now (details and exceptions). You can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Zane Collins

Dear Ministry of Justice,

Hi I would like to request any family court manuals or any standard operation procedures related to principle 'the welfare and best interests of a child' interpretation which judges implement to make their decisions in accordance to S4(2) & S5 of the Care Of children Act 2004.

Not particularly but the manual or the should state;
"what criteria constitute a child's best interests and welfare and how these criteria should be applied in cases"?

Also I would like to request under the Official Information Act, all lists of manuals and chapters used in the family court by Judges. If you have an online electronic database which i would be able to access ?

Yours faithfully,

Zane Collins
